Floorwalker: the person who walks the shop floor, for your online store.
A floorwalker notices who is browsing what, approaches at the right moment, and helps them buy. Floorwalker the plugin does the same: it shows who is on your site right now and what is in their cart, lets you step in with a message while they are still on the product page, and turns every conversation into a lead with name, email and context. Self-hosted. No chat service in the middle.
What it does
Live chat is a crowded market. These three things are not.
You own everything
No third-party script, no per-seat fee, no conversation stored on someone else's servers. The widget, the inbox and the visitor data live on your WordPress.
Context a generic tool cannot see
A hosted chat sees a URL. Floorwalker sees "on the cap product page, two placements picked, cart worth $84, eight minutes in." Stepping in at that moment is a sale, not a support ticket.
Every conversation is a lead
Name, email and cart prefilled from the session; pages this visit, referrer, landing page, returning flag, cart contents and order history on every thread. Export leads as CSV with the marketing opt-in on each row.
Jump in
Live presence refreshes every few seconds: who is on the site, which page, time on site, cart value. Write a nudge; the visitor's widget opens with it on their next heartbeat and the thread continues like any chat.
With StitchPress and CartEcho it stops being a chat widget and becomes a toolkit: one visitor identity shared by the designer, the cart recovery and the chat.
Illustrative rows, not real visitors. Presence rows are anonymous ids that expire within minutes; no personal data until the visitor chooses to identify in chat.

Questions
Straight answers
Why not Tawk.to, Crisp or Intercom?
If you only need a chat box, they are fine and some are free. Floorwalker is for stores that want the conversations and the visitor data on their own server, and the cart and designer context that a hosted tool cannot see. We do not sell it on chat features alone.
Does it watch visitors without consent?
Presence is first-party and anonymous: an id in the browser, the page and the cart summary, expiring within minutes. Nothing personal is stored until the visitor types a name or email into the chat, and the marketing opt-in is explicit.
When can I buy it?
After the stand-alone plugin is extracted and a stranger can install it from a zip. If you want it on a store we build or maintain, it is part of the Commerce tier now; book a call.
